We launched this site in March 2010 with one piece of concept art and a tagline: The faith of five strangers is put to the test when they awake to find themselves in a mysterious place, with no idea of how they got there… and no way out.

With the help of over 40 passionate Nashville artists, actors and filmmakers; dozens of partners and supporters including production partners GRACE CHAPEL and QUANTUM PICTURES; 13 feverish days of principal photography; months of post production; becoming official selections of the Nashville and San Diego Christian film festivals; and a distribution partnership with CROWN ENTERTAINMENT the dreams of the four friends and first-time filmmakers who make up RELEASED PICTURES has become a reality.

THE NOTHING West Coast Premiere: 2011 San Diego Christian Film Festival

RELEASED PICTURES is very happy to announce that THE NOTHING is an Official Selection of the 2011 San Diego Christian Film Festival.

THE NOTHING will screen in competition alongside 9 other films in the U.S. Narrative Film category.

The San Diego Christian Film Festival runs from December 27-30. More info can be found at their website.

If you are on the west coast and would like to attend the screening, tickets packages are available here or you can purchase individual tickets at the festival.

THE NOTHING will screen on Thursday, Dec. 29th at 9:30 AM PST.

FREE SCREENING of THE NOTHING August 26th

In celebration of the completion of post-production of THE NOTHING, there will be a FREE screening held on August 26th at 7:00 PM.

The screening will be held at Grace Chapel (3279 Southall Rd. Franklin, TN). Grace Chapel was a co-production partner on the film, and the film’s barn location is located on the property.

This will be the first screening of the fully completed film, and will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. You can RSVP to this event on facebook at this LINK. RSVP does not guarantee seating, but helps us have an idea of what to expect.

THE NOTHING’s world premiere at the 2011 Nashville Film Festival was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the film, and for the great feedback we received. Our opening night screening was a sellout, and part of the largest opening night in the NaFF’s 40+ year history.

The evening was a dream come true for the Released Pictures team after many years of getting to this point. The version of the film screened at the festival is still in need of some various post-production tweaks, and we are currently busy getting those done, as well as planning the next stages of getting the film out there for people to see.
